AFL football is returning to the Monaro and Snowy Mountains this month with the 3rd annual Cooma Cats Cup and Gala Day to be held at Nijong Oval in Cooma on the 19th of March.
Six men's teams and a number of women's teams will compete for the Cooma Cats Cup in what has become a popular pre-season hit-out for clubs in the AFL Canberra men's and women's competitions, as well as the Saphire Coast league.
Last year's men's division champions, the Tathra Sea Eagles, are returning to defend their title, while the Belconnen Magpies women's team will also be keen to retain their crown.
The Cooma Cats Cup and Gala Day will see a full day of fast and furious modified games played on two AFL ovals side by side at Nijong. First bounce from 8:30am.
