Sponsors' Dinner - 31 July at Dodds Hotel

Attention all members - Cats and SuperCats:

The club will hold its first ever "Sponsor Dinner" at Dodds Hotel (Commissioner Street, Cooma) on Saturday, 31 July.

Our Sponsors’ Dinner represents the Club’s way of thanking our sponsors for their wonderful support which enables us to bring AFL footy to the Monaro and Snowy Mountains.

The Cooma Cats and SuperCats continue to grow stronger and we are extremely proud of our progress towards becoming a community-based, family-focused, professionally run football club of which the community can be rightfully proud.

In Season 2010, the Club has made a number of key achievements:

- Fielded a strong, competitive and growing senior team in the AFL Canberra 4th Division competition;
- Fielded a strong, competitive and growing junior team (the Snowy SuperCats) in the AFL Canberra Under 14 competition;
- Developed the Station Resort Oval in Jindabyne into a field suitable for AFL football;
- Played the first senior AFL games at Snowy Resort Oval in Jindabyne;
- Played the first junior AFL games at Snowy Resort Oval in Jindabyne;
- Funded and coordinated the installation of improved lighting at the Club’s home ground at Snowy Oval in Cooma;
- Developed an aggressive strategic communications campaign which has led to enhanced media coverage of the Club in the regional media and AFL Canberra market place;
- Established a Club You Tube Channel with weekly video match reports and enhanced publicity for the Club’s major sponsors;
- Conducted a series of Auskick clinics for boys and girls in Jindabyne and Cooma; and
- Established the Cooma Cats Social Club to provide the opportunity for the broader community to become active members of our Club;
- Presented a weekly radio program focusing on AFL football on the Monaro and across the Snowy Mountains;
- conducted several major fund-raising events; and
- staged the Cooma Cats pre-season gala day competition which brough over 350 AFL players to the Mponaro for a lightening premiership competition.

These are exciting times for AFL football on the Monaro and across the Snowy Mountains and we look forward to you joining us on our mission to bring our great Australian game to the community.
