20 June Talking Cats chats with author Ian Shaw

Talking Cats, the Monaro and Snowy Mountains own AFL radio program, chats with author Ian Shaw. Ian is the author of The Bloodbath - an insightful account of the notorious 1945 VFL Grand Final between South Melbourne and Carlton. The game was meant to be the "Peace Grand Final" following the conclusion of World War Two - but instead has gone into Aussie Rules folklore as the code's most violent and bloody match ever. Why? Listen to Ian to find out. (Note: its a big file and will take a little while to download). Talking Cats can be heard each Sunday night on Radio 2MNO (90.5 FM).
