Cats keen to get back on winning track against ANU

The Cooma Cats are on the road for the third week in a row when they travel to Canberra this weekend to take on a tough Australian National University side on Saturday (08 May).
And after the disappointment of two recent losses, the Cats are keen to get back into the winning books before their scheduled bye the following weekend.
Cooma Cats’ club President Dave Paterson said that with a scheduled competition-wide bye coming up while the Sydney Swans play the Western Bulldogs in Canberra next weekend (15 May), the Cats really need to give everything they have to go into the break in a winning frame of mind.
Dave said the players needed to put four consistent quarters of good football together to have a chance of taking the points from an ANU side which will be brimming with confidence playing at their home ground.
He said that while ANU were a better side on paper, if the Cats can recapture their early season form which saw them win two in a row, they’ll be a good chance to take the all important four competition points.
Meanwhile, the club’s Under 14 side, the Snowy SuperCats also travel to Canberra on Saturday to take on the Gungahlin Jets.
The SuperCats got their 2010 season off to a good start last weekend with a great win over Ainslie and are hoping to continue the good form again this weekend.
