The Cooma Cats AFC and Dodds Hotel, Cooma will once again host a Pre-Season Gala Day in Cooma on Saturday, 27th March at Nijong Ovals in Cooma.For directions see here (marked as Cooma Ovals).Ten teams have nominated for the day with teams from Canberra and the South Coast taking part. For the first time this year we will see ladies teams taking part in the pre-season competition. Qualified field umpires will also be there on the day to control each match. Full canteen facilities will be available but there will be no alcohol sold at the ground on the day.
Teams are guaranteed three games of football on the day in the round robin event and the two top teams from each pool playing in the final at the end of the day. Winning teams will pocket $600.00 and runners up will receive $200.00 Because we have lots of games to get through on the day an early start is anticipated. An after match function has also been organised at Dodds Hotel where all presentations will take place. Dinner will also be provided at at cost of $15.00 per head as well as live entertainment, raffles etc. We ask that you make the effort to return to Dodds for the post day presentations and festivities to support our football club and sponsor.
